It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale Patrick Freibert, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Dale, a resident of Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, to Sherwood and Elizabeth Freibert, Dale grew up surrounded by love and laughter alongside his siblings Jerry, Larry, and Denise Freibert. He attended St. Raphael and St. Rita Catholic School and Southern High School in Louisville, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a keen interest in automobiles.
Dale's passion for automobiles led him to a fulfilling career as an autobody technician, where he was admired for his meticulous attention to detail and dedication to his craft. He was known for his charismatic and witty nature, which made him a joy to work with and brought warmth and humor to those around him.
On July 31st of 1993, Dale married the love of his life, Susan Skaggs, in a beautiful ceremony at their home in Spring Hill, Florida. Their love story was one of loyalty, laughter, and shared adventures that spanned over three decades.
Family was at the heart of Dale's world. He was a devoted father to his children, Dale Patrick Freibert Jr., Shannon Freibert, Tina (Darrell) Thompson, and Tara Freibert (Justin Anderson), and a cherished grandfather to Eddie Bedell IV, Brooke Freibert, Tiffany Freibert, and Nash Anderson, and his great-grandchildren, Eddie Bedell V and Olivia Izquierdo. Dale's family was his pride and joy.
He had a zest for life and an adventurous spirit, often found fishing, hunting, cooking, horseback riding, and golfing. Dale cherished moments spent surrounded by friends and family, where his charm and humor shone brightly.
A memorial service to honor Dale's life will be held at a later date, to be determined. The family invites those who knew Dale to gather and share memories, ensuring that his legacy lives on through stories of his wit and charm.
