Dale Anderton of Zephyrhills Florida passed away on May 9 due to complications from pneumonia. He was 75 years old.
Dale was born on July 26, 1943 to Mack Anderton Sr and Verna Mae Anderton in Dade City. He was a 1961 graduate of Pasco County High school where he excelled on the football field, the baseball field and in the classroom. A graduate of Carson Newman college, Dale proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant.
For the last 25 years Dale and his family have resided in Zephyrhills where he reveled in the everyday joys of a good meal with friends and family, watching his grandkids activities and making friends everywhere he went.
Dale is survived by the love of his life, Dee (Dolores), his wife of 51 years; his children: Kevin Anderton of Zephyrhills, Mandy Anderton, Deal (David) of Dade City, and Todd Anderton (Lydia) of Flower Mound, Texas; grandchildren: Shea Brock, Cassidee McCullough and Davis Anderton; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, as well as his brothers Tommy Anderton and Mack Anderton Jr.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 13, 2019 at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City from 6pm-8pm. A military burial will follow on Tuesday, May 14 at 10am at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
