Curtis Wayne Abney, age 30, went to His Heavenly home on Saturday, August 12, 2017. Before Curtis developed symptoms of having a disease, he loved being outdoors and enjoyed playing video games but hated to lose. He loved to listen to Christian country music and especially, eating his Aunt Michelle's food. Curtis had a very distinctive laugh that everyone loved and the biggest smile that could brighten anyone's day. He adored his friends and caregivers as if they were his own family at, both the Fort King location in Dade City and Apollo Beach Group Home in Apollo Beach. Curtis is survived by his father; Nathan Abney, grandparent's on his father's side of the family; Oliver Burton Abney ll and Betty Abney, aunt's on his mother's side of the family; Michelle (Robert) Varnadoe and Teresa Lynn Absher, aunt on his father's side of the family; Gloria Jean Williams, uncles's on mother's side of the family; Clay Absher, Scotty Absher (Debbie), Ronnie Absher, uncles's on the father's side of the family; Micheal Abney, Oliver Burton Abney lll, and several cousins on both sides that loved him very much. He is preceded in death by his mother which passed away in 2015; Vickie (Prissy) Abney, and in 2014 his "Nanny," Harian McDonald. His family loved him so much and are going to miss his sweet presence. There will be a Memorial Service held on Monday 21st, 11:00 am at Hodges Family Funeral Home located off of 301.
