Coy Barton passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born on April 3, 1939, in Plant City, FL to parents Luther and Minnie Barton. Coy married Betty and they went on to have four children. He owned a tree service and the Melon Family. He is survived by his children, Brenda Singletary, Coy Barton Jr., and William Barton. Coy is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Barton, and son, Todd Barton. A visitation is being held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City with a service immediately to follow. The burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Tampa.
