Obituary

Carey Allen Ehrman, 71, of Dade City, Florida, passed away on April 19, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Born January 12, 1955, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Robert and Evelyn Ehrman (both preceded him in death), Carey lived a life of service, family, and faith.

Carey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He married Mari Ehrman, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and a strong sense of service to others. He was a proud father to Jonathan (Jessica) Ehrman, Bryant (Courtney) Ehrman, and Tori (Geoffrey) Stanley, and by his grandchildren Luke, Kyle, Elliot, Evan, and Lily. He is also survived by siblings Chuck (Lynda) Ehrman, Lary Harris, Cindy (Bob) Jacobs, David Brubaker, Chris (Eathell) Ehrman, James Baker, Scott (Annie) Baker, and George (Flo) Baker; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who valued his kindness and generosity. Carey was preceded in death by his sisters, Connie Harris and Cheri Brubaker, and his in-laws, Jim and Ruth Baker.

A businessman at heart, Carey owned and operated Environmental Contractors with his brothers, earning a reputation for reliability, integrity, and a sincere desire to help customers feel safe and well cared for. He took pride in his work and the impact he made on the community. Carey found joy in fishing, riding his motorcycle, restoring vehicles, and loving the lord with all his heart.

Instead of flowers, the family requests donations to Gulfside Hospice in Zephyrhills, Florida, which provided compassionate care in his final days.
