Connie Gale Puckett was born to Riley Lewis Crawford and Bernice Agatha Crawford in Dade City, Florida on September 30, 1953. She was called home to be with her Savior on Friday, December 29, 2023. We are missing a mama who married Steve Puckett and raised 3 children, Steven Jeffrey Puckett, Kara Lee Puckett, and Stephanie Lynn Lyons while moving from state to state. She spent her career years homeschooling her children, who were her world, taking care of all the animals she loved so dearly, and taking care of a household. She was strength defined! Even after all her children were beyond schooling years, her passion was teaching. She worked with special needs children, substitute taught within the school system in Oklahoma, and her last job before retiring was working with preschool children which she eagerly taught and was always engrossed in creative ways to form a childs mind. She had a passion for Christ and the knowledge of Him and had a desire to pass this on to her children and others. She taught her children scripture verses by putting them to song, which will forever be etched into the spaces of their minds. She taught many Sunday school classes for children and teens, and she loved serving in the churches she attended. Teaching was a God-given gift for her, and she did it well. She is survived by her son Steven Jeffrey Puckett and wife Christy Puckett, her daughter, Kara Puckett, and her daughter, Stephanie Lyons and husband Gabriel Lyons. Her grandchildren Haley Puckett, Tyler Puckett, and Lauren Puckett. Her twin brother, Ronnie Crawford. Her nieces Tammy Hunt, Emily Daigle, Jennifer Wireman, and her nephew Derek Hunt. Great nephews Franklyn Hunt, Ben Wireman, Emmitt Daigle, and Elliot Daigle. Her beloved pets Riley, Annie, Beanie, and Kunu. She was preceded in death by her father, Riley "Buck" Crawford, her mother, Bernice Crawford, her sister, Julia Ann Hunt, and her former husband, Steve Puckett. The funeral service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home in Dade City, FL on January 13, 2024, at 10 am with graveside service to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. There will be no viewing prior to the service.
