Connie Lou Harris, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26th, 2025, at the age of 74 in Brooksville, FL. Born on September 30th, 1950, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Connie was a cherished member of her community and a guiding light to those who knew her.
Connie spent her formative years in Fort Wayne, where she attended Concordia High School. Her life's journey later took her to Georgia before settling in Brooksville, Florida, where she made her home surrounded by loved ones.
Throughout her career, Connie dedicated her skills to Environmental Contractors, HCA, and Harris Plumbing, where her work ethic and friendly nature left an indelible mark. Outside of her professional life, Connie found solace and joy in her family, as well as being a long time member of Calvary Assembly of God & active in the women's ministry . She was a devoted spouse to Larry Harris, and the proud and loving mother to Matthew (Vanessa), Marcus (Yanci), Michelle (Rodney), and Mitchell (Savanna). Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Evelyn Ehrman, her beloved son Michael Harris, and her dear sister Cheri Brubaker. She is survived by her siblings Chuck Ehrman, Cindy Jacobs, Carey Ehrman, and Chris Ehrman, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Connie loved nothing more than spending time at the lake house, watching the sunrises, and cherishing every moment with her grandkids, whom she loved to spoil. Her love for her family was fierce, and her faith unwavering, as she spent time in the Word daily. Connie truly adored her heavenly Father and found peace in her spiritual journey.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Friday, May 2nd, 2025, during the visitation from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 am at the same location. Connie will be laid to rest at Floral Memory Gardens directly after.
Connie Lou Harris will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit, love, and warmth will live on in our hearts forever.
