Obituary

Clifford Charles “Chuck” Clark Sr., born December 26, 1935, in Alfred, New York, passed away June 11, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. He was the son of the late Milford G. Clark Sr. and Marguerite Ornsby Mays.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife, Laura Clark, with whom he shared 64 loving years of marriage. He is also survived by his six children, Debra Clark Tomes, Ronald “Ronnie” Clark, James “Randy” Hendricks, Caprice Clark Seymour, Kimberly "Kim" Clark Prater, and Clifford Charles Clark Jr.; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Chuck proudly served his country for two years in the United States Navy Seabees, living by their motto, “Can Do.” He graduated from Pasco High School with the Class of 1954 and attended Church at Calvary Assembly of God.

A true entrepreneur, Chuck spent his life building, creating, and helping others. After years at Lykes Pasco, he owned orange groves, worked in construction, bought and sold real estate, designed and built strip malls and storage centers in Zephyrhills, including the first flea market in the area, and opened Mays T.V. & Appliances, a well-known local appliance business that served families throughout the Zephyrhills and East Pasco area. Through the store, Chuck sold trusted household brands and was known for bringing new technology into local homes, including selling the very first microwave in Zephyrhills. His success also led him to win sales contests from major appliance brands, giving him and his beloved wife, Laura, the opportunity to travel the world together. He went on to open Clark’s Nursery in Kathleen, Florida, and later Charlie Clark’s Closet in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Once fully retired, Chuck loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helping others, fishing, and above all, his wife Laura and his family, were the true loves of his life. Chuck will be remembered for his hard work, determination, generosity, the deep love he had for his family, and for living a truly extraordinary life.
