On July 12, 2015, Clayton B. Stetson (born 2/10/1925 Plainfield, CT) was peacefully enfolded in the Lords arms after a long illness. He was predeceased by his first Wife, Phyllis B. Stetson, their infant son Brian Stetson and great-grandson Aiden Murphy. He is survived by his beloved family, including: second Wife, Barbara B. Stetson; his son Neal Stetson(Chris); daughter Jill Stetson; son Kevin Stetson; and grandchildren, Brian Stetson (Virginia); Dana Murphy (Keith) and Austin Stetson. He also leaves behind his great grand-children, Abigail Murphy, Clare Murphy and Benjamin Stetson. He will be missed by all, including his step children: Ronald Baker; Marcie Baker; John Baker (Gloria); Don Baker; and August Gasper. He also leaves behind his brother, Kenneth M. Stetson (Karin) and sister Gertrude Schings (Alfred) and many beloved nieces and nephews. Clayton served in the Army Air Force during WWII after which he graduated from UCONN. Clayton lived a full and active life.A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 20,th at the 301 chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive guests an hour prior, from 10:00 to 11:00.
