Claude R. Miller, Jr, 80, The Villages, Florida was surrounded by his family and called home to his Savior on October 19, 2015 after a brief stay at Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages, FL. Claude was born on April 20, 1935 in Pen Argyl, PA to now deceased parents Claude R. Miller, Sr. and Florence Miller. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley (Gabron) Rapp. Claude was the beloved husband of Joan (Case) Miller, loving father of Cindy Lipke, Scott (Patti) Miller, Rosemary "Missy" & Ed Babcock. He was the adoring and fun-loving "Pap Pap" of Dan & Alex Mihalik (great -granddaughter, Smila), Arie, Venessa and Sabrina Miller, David (Kaley), Eric, and Rachel Babcock. Claude graduated with the class of 1953 from Pen Argyl High School. He attended Lafayette College and Churchman Business College in Easton, PA where he received his degree in Accounting. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation as an accountant for 39 years. Upon retirement, he and Joan moved to Florida and have enjoyed golfing with family and friends, couples bowling, Penn State Club events, and Belvedere Club. Claude was a member of the New Covenant United Methodist Church (The Villages, Summerhill) and the Masonic Lodge of Pen Argyl, PA. A memorial ceremony and Celebration of Life reception will be held on November 14, 2015 at 1:30 pm. at the New Covenant United Methodist Church (Summerhill, The Villages, FL). A celebration of Claudes life will also be held in his hometown of Pen Argyl, PA at the Grace United Methodist Church on December 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Visitation with the family will begin at noon. In lieu of flowers, his church or the Cornerstone Hospice(The Villages, FL) will gratefully accept donations in memory of Claude.
