Clark D. Sutton 69 of Zephyrhills, FL. formerly of Ziegersville. PA. passed away July 16, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Linda Mae Sutton, daughter Wendy Lynn Sutton, grandson Tyler Clark Bedell, great grandchildren Brooklynn Renee Bedell, Bailee Mae Bedell, sisters Carole Lee Monahan, Beverly Dawn Fulmer, Sharon Rutan, Susan Coe, brothers George B. Sutton, Donald A. Sutton and many countless friends and family members. Clark lived in Pennsylvania until July 1979 and moved to Florida to be near his parents who lived in St. Petersburg, Florida. He started as a city employee of Zephyrhills in June 1980 and worked his way up in different departments and finally chose to stay at the waste water treatment plant and got his state certification for his B & C water license and finally became Supervisor of the Plant. His love of cars and street rodding gave him plenty of work to do and also to enjoy his 39 Plymouth in which he restored and drove and entered many car shows.Later in life he found the game of golf and needless to say, he was hooked. Lost of the interest of street rodding for a pair of golf clubs. Many friendships were formed on the golf course from here in the area and also from Canada. He was also a Vietnam Veteran and served his country in the Army from 1967-1969 and was stationed in Vietnam from November 1967 until November 1968.His love for his family was felt everyday in his honey do jobs and his love of cooking and trying new recipes and being funny at parties was his joy to everyone. He will be missed by everyone.A funeral service will be held Thursday July 20th, 11:00 am, at Hodges Family Funeral Home's 301 chapel in Dade City. The family will receive visitors one hour prior, from 10:00 to 11:00.Mr. Sutton will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, following the funeral service.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Clark's memory to the charity of your choice.
