Obituary

CLARICE G. PARSONS BRUNTY, 91, of Zephyrhills, FL went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 9, 2013 with her loving family by her side. Clarice was a strong fighter right up to the very end. She was born on June 29, 1922 to George Wesley and Lena Ethel (Evans) Parsons of Grayson, KY. Clarice married Carl Cecil Brunty on March 30, 1940 and moved to Vallejo, CA where they raised two children, Patsy Carol Pat (Brunty) Maroon and James Martin Brunty until Carls passing in 1961. Clarice moved to Zephyrhills in 1968 where she was in the mobile home business as co-owner of Jim Glosson Corporation. She was a member of the International Order of Rebekahs and was of the Baptist faith. Clarice enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Her beloved dog, Paco, made her life worth living. She is survived by her loving son, James Jim Brunty and his wife, Clereen Morrill Brunty whom she often referred to as her daughter of Zephyrhills, FL; an adoring granddaughter, Christy Lynne Brunty and Shane Miller along with his children, Justin and Lavada of Wesley Chapel, FL; a sweet great-grandson, Zackary David Lloyd also of Wesley Chapel, FL; and a caring grandson, James David Jimmy Maroon of Durham, NC. Clarice also leaves behind her daughter, Pat Maroon of Bremerton, WA; a granddaughter, Jaime Denise Maroon Banister of Birch Bay, WA; a grandson, Arthur Lawrence Maroon, Jr. of Bremerton, WA; seven more great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, George Elwyn Parsons of Greenville, OH. She is predeceased by her parents; a son, Phillip Lee Brunty; five brothers, William Oather Parsons, Noble Wesley Parsons, Roy Parsons, Calvin Russell Parsons and Arlin Douglas Parsons; as well as four sisters, Ruth Parsons Davidson, Emily Parsons Johnston, Lona Belle Parsons Durr and Anna Laura Parsons Hay. The family would like to Thank Heartland of Zephyrhills for all the wonderful rehab assistance and special care given to Clarice through her therapy, and to Westbrooke Manor Assisted Living in Zephyrhills for all their many acts of love and kindness. A special Thank You goes to Gulfside Regional Hospice for being there through her final days. The family is planning a private Celebration of Clarices Life for family and close friends at a later date.
