Clara Lucille Holcomb passed away at Rose Manor Assisted Living Facility in Zephyrhills, FL on May 18, 2014. She was born in Detroit, MI on May 10, 1928 to the late Charles and Gladys (Verhegge) Margodt and moved to Brown City, MI at age 16. She married Joseph David Holcomb on September 9, 1945 and moved to a small farm in Melvin, MI in 1951. Clara farmed until 1968, then worked for Hamilton Halter in Oxford, MI and Ocala, FL until retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, playing cards and traveling. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in August of 2009 and her grandson, Bradley Holcomb in July of 2009.Survivors include 4 children, Charles (Linda) Holcomb of Winchester, TN, Joanne (Robert) Kennedy of Lapeer, MI, Joseph Holcomb of Royal Oak, MI and Thomas (Joie) of Henderson, MI; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Maurice (Eileen) Margodt of Brown City, MI; nephew; 2 nieces and many friends. Services took place at St. Josephs Catholic Church. There will be a private interment at Florida National Cemetery.
