Cindi Lu Willis, ne Llewellyn, passed away on July 15, 2024, at the age of 68 in Wesley Chapel, FL. Born on January 29, 1956, in Long Island, NY, she blossomed into a dedicated military professional and beloved member of her community.

Cindi graduated from Benson High School in 1974 before earning her Nursing degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1994. She then dedicated a significant part of her life honorably serving our nations military heroes as a nurse in the US Air Force. After 22 years of faithful service to her country, she retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Following her military career, Cindi eagerly embraced retired life.

Known for her vibrant personality, amazing smile, and infectious laugh, Cindi was cherished as a friend to all. Her hobbies included quilting, walking in the neighborhood, tending to her yard, and traveling the world with family and friends.

Cindi leaves behind her husband, Jim, and a loving family: sons Tom (Mary) and Dan; step-children Amy (Shane), Christy (Todd), Joni (Derric), Andrea, Jay (Sarah), Daniel (Amanda), and Adam (Keri); 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; her mother, Shirley; siblings Vicki, Terri, and Michael; and numerous nieces, nephews, Billie Llewellyn and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father Jack, brother Steven, grandson AJ, and brother-in-law Chuck.

Cindi's life was a beacon of kindness and service, and she will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Hodges Family Funeral Home in Zephyrhills, FL, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial services will be planned at a future date.
