Cheryl Payne Cholmondeley was born in Georgetown Guyana on March 23 , 1955, to the late -Francis Cholmondeley and Cecelia Payne. Cheryl was a very humble and quiet servant who was always in close connection with her family. She was the mother of Natasha Cossiah and the late Aubrey Alwin Cossiah. She was the youngest of eight children. She loved her church as she tried her best to live by the values bestowed upon her as a child who grew up in a Christian home. Cheryl lived in Campbeville, Georgetown Guyana most of her life, where she attended Campbeville Primary school and later North Georgetown Secondary where she completed her formal education. She also attended Critchlow labor college to enhance her clerical skills. Upon completion of her formal education Cheryl became a staff member of the Guyana Peoples' Militia, where she was employed as a Records Clerk. She loved the military aspect of that career as she served quite diligently in the role she played. Cheryl later became employed as a clerk with the Professional Guard service in Georgetown for many years before Migrating to the USA to join her late son Alwin Aubey Cossiah and her loving daughter Natasha Cossiah. Living in the USA was a new experience for her, but she adapted quite quickly as she was soon employed as a Home Health Aide. Cheryl lived in Brooklyn, New York for a number of years, where she attended The Unification Church before relocating to Tampa Florida to be much closer to her immediate family. Living in Tampa was another new experience and adventure for her, but she loved the weather as she was somewhat away from the cold in Brooklyn. She had the opportunity to continue her independence as she was able to acquire her own apartment where she lived on her own but still had the opportunity and advantage of caring for her two grandchildren Jennaya and Noah. She had a joyful side as well. Cheryl loved shopping, loved to smile and laugh, and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was known for her delicious cook-up rice, curry chicken, and pepperpot. meals that brought her family together and filled their hearts with warmth and love. Chery also loved to think about traveling. Even with her fear of flying, she would smile and say, "I'm planning a trip." It was one of her charming traits — always hopeful, always dreaming, always looking ahead. Chery also loved to think about traveling.
