Cheryl Camille (Croft) Guzell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cheryl Camille (Croft) Guzell, who departed this life on December 18, 2024, in her hometown of Dade City, Florida, at the age of 76.

Born on November 18, 1948, Cheryl grew up in Dade City, the beloved daughter of Ernest and Wilna Croft and stepdaughter of Alma Croft. She was a cherished sister to Ted Croft, Ernestine Johnson, Judy Berkobits, Billy Ray Rivers, and Betty Woods.

Cheryl was a proud graduate of Pasco High School and pursued higher education at Saint Petersburg College and Saint Leo College. Her dedication to learning laid the foundation for her esteemed career in nursing, where she worked tirelessly to care for others at Saint Anthony's Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and Adventist Health Hospital. Her patients and colleagues alike admired her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.

On June 22, 1985, Cheryl married the love of her life, Robert Guzell. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared nearly four decades of love and partnership. Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving behind her husband, Robert; her children, Ernest Guzell and Katie Guzell, and Alex Guzell; and her adored granddaughter, Raven.

Cheryl was not only an extraordinary nurse but also a dedicated cattlewoman who cherished the rural lifestyle. She was known for her strength, grace, and resilience, always balancing her professional accomplishments with her unwavering love for her family and community.

Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Cheryl touched countless lives, leaving behind memories of her warmth, wisdom, and generosity.
