Charlotte Kathryn (Dilks) Barthle, age 58, of San Antonio, FL passed away Monday, February 25th, 2019. Kathy was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to John Daniel Dilks Jr. and Rita Marie Dilks/Wolfe and moved around the country with her military family until settling in Pasco County as a teenager. She spent her life loving her family and friends, educating children, playing her guitar and singing with her church choir, and travelling as much as she could. Her survivors include daughters, Amanda Honingford (and husband, Jason) and Amy DeNavarra (and husband, Ben); her mother, Rita Wolfe; her niece and roommate, Christina Connor; and her siblings, sisters, Beverly Connor (and husband, Jerry) and Sandra Cody (and husband, Shawn), and brother, John Dilks Jr. (and wife, Kate). She was also blessed with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, godchildren, extended family, and close friends. Her legacy lives on not just in this intimate circle but in ripples that extend throughout the community in the thousands of lives that she touched in her more than twenty years as a preschool teacher at Sacred Heart Early Childhood Center. It was her wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Center to continue supporting the children of our community.
