Charles B. Williams Jr., age 86, of Dade City, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, in Dade City.
Charles was born on June 4, 1939, in Lakeland, Florida, to C.B. Williams Sr. and Gladys (Kennedy) Williams. He was raised in Lakeland with his sister, Anne Richardson, where he built the foundation of a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.
On June 16, 1961, Charles married the love of his life, Kathleen Hardin, in Lakeland, Florida. Together they shared more than six decades of marriage, building a strong and loving family. Charles and Kathleen made their home in Dade City, where they became active members of their church.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Citrus from Florida Southern University. He went on to dedicate his career to Pasco County Parks and Recreation, where he served the community with commitment and integrity.
Above all else, Charles cherished time spent with his family and was deeply devoted to his church. His quiet strength, steady presence, and love for those around him will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Marie Williams; his children, Mary Ries and Charles B. Williams III (Michelle); his grandchildren, Joshua Gay of Dade City, Christopher Williams of Dade City, Alexander Williams (Jasmine) of Dade City, Lexi Williams of Dade City, and Bailie Williams of Dade City; and his great-grandson, Mateo Williams.
Services will include a visitation on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. The burial will take place at a later date.
Charles's legacy of faith, love, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
