NIEMELA, Charles R., 83, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021. He was born in Covington, Michigan. Charles served honorably in the United States Army as a Sargent First Class for over 22 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved camping with his wife and spending time with family and friends. He was an active member of the VFW, Amvets, American Legion, Elks, Eagles and Moose Lodge. Charles was preceded in death by Marliese, his wife of 39 years. He is survived by Patricia, his wife of 17 years; his daughter, Sandra Niemela Dunlap; granddaughter, Nicole Kustes (Derek, grandchildren, Nolan and Emma); sisters, Judy Ross, Cookie Perrow (Donald), Doris Chaudier (Joseph) and Jean Norback (Gerald); stepson, Ralph Rivello, Jr. (Beth, granddaughter, Rebecca, Melissa and Aiden); stepdaughter, Melanie Donahue (granddaughter, Christie) and stepson, James Sanders (grandchildren, Alexis, Bubba and Brennan).
