Obituary

CHARLES W. KLAYER (Chuck), age 78, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Charles served in the Navy, in-Country Vietnam, January 1967 —June 1970, Honorable Discharge. Charles received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with one Bronze Star and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device (1960-).

Survived by his wife, Debby White Klayer, children, Son, Charles W. Klayer Jr., Grandchildren, Bradley Charles Klayer and Katelyn N Klayer, Great Grandchildren, Noah and Emerson, Daughter, Candace Lee Klayer, Grandchildren, Jakob Charles Klayer, Emily Lynn Klayer, and several nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by his parents, Charles John Klayer, Christine Love Klayer, and his sisters, Patricia Beaumgart, Christine Briggs, and his brother, John George Mayer.

The memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His compassion, Courage, and spirit left a mark that time cannot erase. Though he may no longer be here in the same way, his influence remains in every smile he shared and every live he touched.

Charles did not want a viewing. The urn internment will be held at the Florida! National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida sometime in August. The date has not been scheduled yet.
