Charles L. "Chic" Davis was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 13th, 2021 after a long battle with heart disease.

Chic was born near New Rochelle, New York on January 17, 1940, where he lived until the age of 10. His family then moved to Clearwater, FL to start a new life and family business. He graduated from Clearwater High School and was a member of the Shakers Car Club where he gained many life long friends. On September 2nd 1961, he married Donna L. Beatty of Clearwater to whom he was married for over 59 years. Chic was an avid car enthusiast, drag racer and restorer and collector of classic cars up until his passing.

Chic is the former co-owner of his family business, Davis Gas Service in Clearwater, FL from 1970 to 1984. Chic and Donna moved to Dade City, FL in 1989 where he continued to restore classic cars and won multiple national awards for his mechanical and restoration skills.

Chic is survived by his loving wife Donna, his son Robert (Angie), grandsons Morgan Davis (Alyssa) and Lane Davis (Rebecka), brother-in-law Bill Beatty (Sylvia), niece Karen Davis-Brown (Brian), and nephews Tim Beatty (Juli) and Mike Beatty (Amy).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18th from 1:00pm to 2:00pm and a 2:00pm Funeral Service at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, FL. Graveside Service will be held immediately afterward.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the charity of your choice in Chic's name.
