Charles Alvin Bliss Sr. 91, of Zephyrhills passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 under the care of Gulfside Center for Hospice. He was born November 29, 1925 in Vassar, MI to Frank L. & Clara Elliott Bliss Connor and worked for Marlette Homes as a truck driver. He moved to Zephyrhills 38 years ago from Marlette. He owned and operated Bliss Lawn Service and was a member of the Zephyrhills Moose Lodge. He is survived by 4 children: Charles Bliss Jr. (Debra), Marlette, MI, Linda Eagle (Jim), Sandusky, MI, Norman Bliss (Shellie), Marlette, MI, Marilyn Davis (Rob), Applegate, MI; daughter-in-law: Jude Bliss, Zephyrhills, FL; sister: Margaret Bell, Omer, MI; brother: Ray Bliss, Fairgrove, MI; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty A. Bliss in 2004; son: Frank Bliss in 2016; parents: Frank & Clara Bliss; and 4 siblings: Flip Bliss, Gladwin, MI, James Bliss, Akron, MI, Donald Bliss, Standish, MI, and infant sister Maryjane Bliss. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to either Gulfside Regional Hospice in Zephyrhills, Grace Assembly of God Church or a charity of your choice. Private graveside services will be held at Oakside Cemetery at a later date
