Cecilia Rodriguez, 75, passed away at home in Dundee, Florida on the morning of Thursday, July 17th, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Cecilia was born on November 22nd, 1949 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico to parents Santos Serrano and Luz Maria Ramos. Growing up in a full house, Cecilia shared fond memories with her siblings: Neisa, Jose, Gina, Santa, Digna, Andrea, George, and Domingo. Puerto Rico was Cecilia's home until she turned 16, moving to New York in the United States. Here she would stay for more than 25 years, having four daughters: Jeannette, Maria, Ivette, and Clary. Cecilia eventually moved to Florida in 2003, making it her permanent residence.

Cecilia's greatest achievement in life was creating a beautiful family. Cecilia has ensured that her daughters, her 17 grandchildren, and her 14 great-grandchildren have always been surrounded by her love. Cecilia was compassionate, dedicated to her family, and one tough cookie. Family gatherings were full of Cecilia's dancing and vibrant smile: her 75th birthday celebration was no exception. Cecilia lived for giving her love to those around her, holding family dearest to her heart.

Cecilia also enjoyed knitting, spending her time gambling in the casino, fishing with family, and watching the drama of her favorite telenovelas. Cecilia tuned in to "The Price is Right" and other shows to pass the time, always making sure to save a seat for her most beloved best friend, Chiquito the chihuahua.

Cecilia is predeceased by her parents, as well as a sibling named Gilbert who passed in early childhood.

Cecilia made friends everywhere she went, from neighbors to strangers walking by, but Maribel stands out as one of Cecilia's closest. Cecilia's friends in the Dade City area will surely be missing her vibrant light now that she has passed.

Cecilia's family will remember her as a loving, generous, and beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Fishing trips, adventures at the casino, and birthday celebrations will continue to hold Cecilia's spirit as those who love her keep her within their hearts.
