Cecile Marie (LeBreton) Hunter, 92, of Satellite Beach, FL. passed away peacefully at home with her family on November 10, 2021. Cecile was born in Athol, Massachusetts on July 30, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Patronille (Gionet) LeBreton. She was raised in Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the class of 1949. Cecile worked for L.S. Starrett Company manufacturing dial indicators until she married Lt. Col. Neil W. Hunter in December 1955. Cecile held down the home front while Neil was flying military airplanes during the Vietnam War. Cecile traveled to many locations including overseas for a time and even took a ride in a submarine. Cecile and her family moved to Satellite Beach, FL in 1974, where she would fly with Neil in their airplane. Cecile was a fabulous mother and loving grandmother, a wonderful cook preparing sit down family dinners every evening, a talented crafter, an avid photographer, and deep-sea angler. She was featured in Florida Sportsman Magazine with her prize-winning kingfish. Cecile loved her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life. Cecile leaves behind her sons, Gary W. Hunter (Sally) of Oveido, FL and Steven M. Hunter (Melissa) of Brooksville, FL; her two grandchildren, Christopher and Kealy Hunter of Brooksville, FL; one sister, Rita Rayner of Athol; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Hunter Bailey of Kansas, also many nieces and nephews. Cecile was predeceased by her beloved husband Lt. Col. Neil W. Hunter on October 24, 1992; by her brother, Norman LeBreton in 1976; by her sister, Evelyn Bacon in 2002; and by her sister Eunice Gooley in 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 19, 2021, at Florida Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rockledge, FL.
