Catherine Sue King of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on Friday, November 17th, 2017. Born on June 18th, 1946 in Spirit Lake, Iowa, she is the daughter of the late June Holdridge and Francis Holdridge. Mrs. King graduated from Seminole High School in Pinellas County, continued to become a registered nurse with a degree from St. Petersburg College, and had a successful career in nursing. She was married to John H. King from October 8th, 1964 until his passing on March 18th, 2003. Mrs. King is survived by her six children, Gloria Hoffman, John C. King, Alicia Nix and her husband Bobby Nix, David King, Carolyn Dennis and her husband Herman Dennis, and Kimberley Thacker and her husband Vince Thacker. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sophia Nix, Michael Nix, Jacob Hoffman, Josh Cobb, Jeremiah Cobb, Catherine Cobb, Genevieve Thacker, Amelia Thacker, Katlyn King, Skylar King, Grace King, and her great-granddaughter Kailie Nix, and many more family and friends. Catherines family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017 at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 Hwy 301, Dade City, FL. Catherine will be laid to rest with her husband at Florida National Cemetery at 2:00 pm, also on Thursday, Dec 7th. Visitation
