Catherine (Cathy) B Hunsinger Bakeman, age 88, went home to be with her Lord on Jan. 7, 2023 at the Rucki Hospice Care Center, in Zephyrhills, Fl. She was the loving wife of Lester M Bakeman and on Feb. 16th they would have celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary.

Cathy was born in Towanda, PA on March 19th 1935 to Zelma Boyles Hunsinger and Howard Hunsinger along with 9 sisters and 5 brothers. She attended Vestal Central Schools in Vestal, NY. Cathy was a devoted housewife, full-time mother, and caregiver to many who needed her throughout the years. She crocheted often, but you could say Swedish Weaving was her specialty. Many of her friends and family were recipients of her blankets and her many other talented crafting projects and will be lovingly remembered for her gracious generosity.

Cathy is survived and cherished by her loving and devoted husband, Lester; children (w/spouses), Gerald (Marsha) and Lucy (Mark); Grandchildren: Jeremy (Jenny), Amber, Glen (Chelsey), James (Barbara); Great-Grandchildren: Danny, Gabby, Emily, Isabella; Sisters/Brothers: Rovena, Elva, Charlotte, Nancy, Janet, Donna, Sally, Ronald, Gail.

Twenty-six hours after Cathys passing her youngest son, Norman D Bakeman followed her to their heavenly home.

Cathy was predeceased by her parents, Zelma and Howard; sisters/brothers, Donald, Howard, Leo, Carol, Thomas.

A Memorial at Bushnell National Cemetery is pending.
