Carolyn Rebecca Johnson of Dade City passed away on May 27, 2022. Carolyn Rebecca Johnson was born on December 4th, 1958, in Dade City, Florida to the late James and Rebecca Hood. Carolyn cherished spending time with her friends, family, and especially her grandchildren. Carolyn was a lifetime Pasco County resident where she attended Pasco County Schools where she graduated in 2016 from Pasco Hernando State College with her Associate in Sciences Degree - Human Services. She completed one year of her Bachelors in Sciences at Hodges University and received her degree via the Pasco County degree alternative program. Carolyn spent the initial part of her career working as an Outreach Specialist with Farmworkers Self-Help and the Pasco County Public Health Department. She spent the latter part of her career as a Program Coordinator for Pasco County Senior Services. Carolyn loved working with her community and was passionate about working with her seniors. In her spare time, she enjoyed couponing, crafting, fishing, playing bingo, gathering with her poker family, and giving orders to the Love of her life, David. Carolyn is preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Michael James Hood and nephews Michal "BooBoo" Hood, Christopher Hood, Paul Hood, and John Hood. She is survived by her husband David Johnson, daughter Cynthia Gibson (Tony), sons Benjamin Johnson (Elizabeth), Charles Johnson (Amanda), and her grandchildren Toni, Tevin, Chasity, Christian, Jacob, and Abigail. She is also survived by her brother William Hood, sister Teresa Harper-Bess, brother-in-law Ellis Johnson, Daniel Johnson (Virginia), sister-in-law Linda Snyder, nieces Vanessa, Amanda, Amy, and nephews Marc Harvey (Jennifer), Robert Doyle (Sheila), David LeVines, Daniel "Dano" Johnson, and Taylor Bryant, Special person like a daughter- Josephine Benson (Bernard) and a host of great-nieces, nephews, and other relatives. There will be a gathering of family and friends at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel Dade City on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 12-1 pm funeral services will follow at 1 pm.
