BENTLEY, Carolyn J., 54 of Dade City, died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at HPH Hospice in Dade City. Carolyn was born in Lakeland, FL to John and Emily (Morris) Bentley. She was a lifelong resident of Dade City and a 1978 graduate of Pasco High School. After having served in the United States Air Force, she attended Florida State University, St. Leo University and Eastern Kentucky University. Carolyn received several degrees with the last being in Occupational Therapy which was her most recent career. She found her life's calling working with children through pediatric occupational therapy. Since childhood, Carolyn has always shown kindness to people, she loved animals, and had a deep respect for the preservation of our environment. She is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brothers Robert (Katarzyna) Bentley of Kissimmee, FL and Randy (Tami) Bentley, Nieces and Nephew William McKendree, Melissa Shook-Bentley, Molly Jane Bentley. The family will receive friends during a Celebration of Carolyn's life at the Hwy 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home, on Thursday, September 10th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. A graveside service will take place at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 on Friday, September 11th at 11:30 am.
