THOMAS, Carol Sue, age 74, of Dade City, FL passed away on August 21, 2020. She was born on December 21, 1945 in Mount Hope, WV to parents Cecil Scarbro & Elma (Stanley). Carol had a sparkling personality and will be remembered as a caring and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Ernest Thomas; and one son, Phillip "Mike" Burgess.Loving survivors include one son, Norman "Doug" Burgess (Angela); ten sisters: Betty, Bertha, Marietta, Judy, Pam, Starietta, Yvonne, Vivian, Janet, and Reesie; one brother, Greg; four grandchildren: Sara Pate (Jeff), Christina Burgess, Mike Burgess, and Marykate Lynn Jackson; four great-grandchildren: Jacob Burgess, Colton Burgess, Alivia Pate, and Ava Pate; and many nieces, nephews, and other friends and loved ones. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Trilby Cemetery.
