CAROL ANN KAPNICK

Carol was born on July 19, 1940, in Dearborn, Michigan, and passed away on June 4, 2026, at her "winter" home in Zephyrhills, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Ada (Cutler) Kapnick, her brother Jerry Kapnick, and her dear friend, Sheila Jerome. Carol is survived by her brother Alan Kapnick of Brooklyn, Michigan, and her nephew, Nathan Kapnick, and his family of Greenbarc, Tennessee. Carol was never married and had no children.

She graduated from Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan, where she played shortstop on the college softball team. After graduation, she taught physical education to hundreds of students in different schools in Michigan and coached girls' basketball. Carol was an outstanding golfer and recorded many scores under 80, as well as a hole in one in 2018 at age 77!

Carol played cards with her friends in Zephyrhills almost every Friday afternoon and was a keen competitor. She had schnauzers in the recent past — Abbie, Katie, and Lily. She also had at least one cat.

Those who knew her best would say that she was soft-spoken, kind to all, patient, and loved a good joke. She will be sorely missed. Her ashes will be interred at the Raisin Valley Cemetery in Adrian, Michigan.
