Carmella Kennedy, 73, passed away March 6, 2015, with her family by her side in San Antonio, Florida. Carmella was born December 15th, 1941, in Albany New York to Phillip and Mary Sabatino. She was raised in the Albany area with her two beloved brothers Phillip (Sonny) and Michael (Mickey). She graduated from Cardinal McCloskey, Hillsborough Community College and worked for the New York State Education system for 12 years and GTE/Verizon for 28 years. She is survived by her devoted husband Gerald J Kennedy, her adoring son Michael (Molly) Montgomery, her wonderful step children Marcia (Al) Blount, Paul, Jerry, Bobby her step grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jason (Sherry) Levertt and her pride and joy Gabriel. She had numerous cousins and other relatives that she loved also.Carmella brought so much joy into everyones life and we love her for her unselfishness. She loved to exercise, play cards, be with friends and when Gerald came into her life they were dancing up a storm. She couldnt wait to see Gabriel play football, baseball and basketball and wanted to know everything he was doing. Her son Michael loved and stood by her always and it was mutual. We are all extremely sad to lose a remarkable woman, but heaven just became a better place with her there.A Visitation will be held Monday March 9th at Hodges Funeral Home 36327 Hwy 54 in Zephyrhills, Florida 33541 from 6pm-8pm. Mass will be held on Tuesday March 10th at 11:00 at St Joseph Catholic Church 5316 11th Street Zephyrhills, Fl. 33542 with burial immediately after at Chapel Hill Gardens 11531 US Hwy 301 Dade City Fl 33525.
