GILBERT, Carlton Elwyn, age 82, born in Syracuse, New York, and formerly of Zephyrhills, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024. He enjoyed singing, dancing, and watching sports. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Oscar Gilbert; mother, Helen May Craft Gilbert; wives, Peggy Sue Gilbert and Donna Gilbert; brothers, Gordon, Harold, Lee, and Ron Gilbert; sisters, Esther Widger and Shelda Jean Stone; sons, Eddie and Dennis Gilbert; daughter, Candie Laramore; and stepson, Rick Hero.

He is survived by his partner, Sharron Reisman; daughter-in-law, Jackie Gilbert; stepdaughters, Debbie Briles and her husband Greg and Cynthia Gaff and her husband Norman; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Carlton will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, 4pm to 6pm, Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 State Road 54, Zephyrhills, Florida.
