Carl N Lawson

January 31, 1939 - July 18, 2021 (age 82)

Carl N. Lawson, 82 of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2021 at Advent Hospital in Dade City. Carl was born January 31, 1939 in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Robert and Nancy Lawson. Carl attended Palm Beach High School and then served the country he loved as a member of the United States Air Force for 4 years. After college, Carl worked as a mechanical engineer with Boeing until 1989 and then Duke University until 2004. Carl then returned to the Tampa area and resided in Zephyrhills where, in his self-described, "semi-retired" state, he continued to work as a consultant right up until his last days. He was a lifetime member of ASHRAE and received many accolades for his work in the field of engineering. Carl was also an avid fisherman, golfer, sports fan and quite the comedian. He loved ministering to and serving people. He was an active member of Life Church in Wesley Chapel and devoted much of his time serving our veterans.

Carl was preceded in death by his loving wife [o Anne who passed away in 2017. He is survived by his children, JR Lawson, Lisa (Phil) Webb, Doug (Jackie) Smith, Ken Smith, and his wife Dr. Fariba Gharai, 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Helen Higgins and her family, brothers George Lawson and Leroy Lawson and their families and was preceded in death by his brother Raymond Lawson.

A celebration of life will be held at Life Church 6224 Old Pasco Rd. Wesley Chapel, Fl. 33544 on Saturday August 28th at 10 am.
