Obituary

Carl Thomas Craine, 83, of Brooksville, Florida passed away July 15, 2022 at Home. He was born December 28, 1938 to Eva Lee & Carl Thomas Craine Sr. in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Carl & Addie Elizabeth Gillett married on September 5, 1961 in Darby, Florida and enjoyed 60 beautiful years together. Carl was a graduate of University of South Florida, receiving his bachelors degree in business administration. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, retiring in 1976 as a Senior Petty Officer. Carl then became a pastor at Darby Community Baptist Church from 1986 till 2005. He resided in multiple states, countries, and territories; Starting in Johnston, South Carolina and including but not limited to: Japan, Hawaii, California, Guam, Virginia, Maryland, and finally, Brooksville, Florida. Carl is preceded in death by his parents: Carl Thomas Craine Sr. and Eva Lee Craven. Carl is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Craine of Brooksville, Florida; Children: Scott Craine of Jacksonville, Florida and Amanda Worten of Tampa, Florida; Grandchildren: Davis Craine of Columbus, Georgia, Addie Worten and Megan Worten of Tampa, Florida; Great- Grandchildren: Riley Craine, Reagan Craine, Remi Craine of Columbus, Georgia. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Hillside Community Baptist Church in Brooksville, Florida. The visitation will take prior to service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow services at Holton Cemetery in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
