Krueger, Captain Friedrich Wilhelm 77, of Dade City, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 in Dade City under the care of HPH Hospice. He was born February 25, 1938 in Naulin, East Germany to Johannes & Anna Emelia Siegert Krueger. He immigrated to the United States when he was 18 years old and was enlisted into the U.S. Navy where he served four years. He joined the Merchant Marines and rose to the rank of Captain. He had a long career working in the Steamship Industry, and retired from Executive Management having worked with various companies, most notably the American Export Lines. He moved to Dade City 11 years ago from Morris Plains, NJ. He was an active member of The Family of Christ Lutheran Church in New Tampa, and enjoyed participating in the construction of the church. He is survived and is greatly missed by his wife of 54 years: Ilse Muller Krueger; 3 children: Fred (Pat) Krueger, Heidi Dileone, Holly (Andy) Kunkemueller; 1 brother: Detlef (Bonnie) Krueger; 8 grandchildren: Ann Krueger, Katharine Krueger, Michael Krueger, Jonathan Dileone, Eric Dileone, Benjamin Kunkemueller, Sara Kunkemueller, Elizabeth Kunkemueller. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, August 29, 2015 at The Family of Christ Lutheran Church in New Tampa. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
