It is with indescribable grief the Nick and Donna Nickerson Family announce their precious son, middle child, and loving brother Caleb Zachery Nickerson entered the presence of God on March 4, 2024, at age 32. Proud to be born in the Great State of Texas, Caleb greatly treasured his deep familial roots in Florida, loved being and working at his family's home and ranch in Montana, and immensely enjoyed making memories at his family retreat ranch in Idaho. Caleb had many talents and accomplishments. He was a heart-stirring singer and musician, certified national speaker, lifelong rancher, discerning counselor, faithful friend, and good man. He devoted his life to prayer, ministry, stirring revival, and upholding traditional family values. He loved ranching, horses, the great outdoors, woodworking, cutting metal art, family, and giving to others, but his greatest passion was loving and serving Jesus. Whether at the ranches, performing in a concert, praying with a pastor, sharing Jesus at a Farmer's Market, or staffing an international event, Caleb's winsome smile, incredible wit, empathetic spirit, and poignant words of wisdom touched and encouraged others to love God, love others, and do the right thing. When his family came under intense persecution for their faith over a decade ago, Caleb was at the forefront of the battle fighting to save the ranches in the mountains he loved from injustice and evil agendas. Though the battle against religious persecution in Montana and Idaho has been long and intense, and the great losses and overwhelming complacency of those in positions of power and influence have weighed heavier and heavier on him with each passing day, Caleb finished his course of life loving God, loving others, and trying to make a difference with all the strength he had within him. Caleb invested and sacrificed his life preserving the freedoms we all hold dear. He breathed his last breath on "his" Florida beach in his Daddy's arms, with his head on his Mom's shoulder, his brothers on a bench behind him praying, and his sisters washing his feet and splashing his legs with ocean water. Caleb's heartsickness for a better place ultimately overcame his hope for a new day. Caleb Zachery's battle to save his ranches and make a difference from this side of eternity may now be over, but his journey to know, love, and worship God will continue eternally. Caleb's family will carry on the dreams and plans they shared here on earth as they forever cherish the love, memories, and lives they treasured together. Though we miss Caleb terribly, we are grateful for the hope we will see him again and that he is now in the presence of God enjoying the safe place to call home for eternity he has dreamed of his entire life. Caleb's passion for loving others and making a difference will carry on through his family's ministry efforts. To learn more, please visit vvww.mountn,org. and www.ithappenedtous.com.
