WESLEY CHAPEL – Brian Marvin Harne, 67, of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away peacefully at his home on June 9, 2025, after a year-long battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
Brian was born on October 21, 1957, in Washington, D.C., to Blaine and Doryce Harne. He graduated from Rockville High School in Rockville, Maryland, and went on to play football at Shephard's College in West Virginia for a year before returning home to care for his mother, following the death of his father.
For 30 years, Brian worked in the construction industry at F.O. Day in Rockville. When he moved to Florida, he continued in the construction field at MidCoast Aggregate in Webster, where he worked for more than 15 years. Even through his battle with cancer, Brian continued to work until the disease made it impossible.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Maria (Spiridopoulos), of 47 years; daughter, Angela; son, Michael and his wife, Whitney; two grandsons, Blaine and Brayden; his brother, Wayne; 8 nephews and a niece. He is preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Doryce, and his sister Linda Diane Miller.
Brian will be remembered for his deep love for his family. He loved golfing and cheering on his Washington Redskins, Washington Capitals and Maryland Terps (Fear the Turtle). His biggest pride and joy was becoming a Papou (grandfather) to his two wonderful grandsons.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
