Obituary

Brenda Harrison Reece, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11th, 2024, just a day shy of her 78th birthday. Born on October 12th, 1946, in Sulligent, Alabama, Brenda resided in Zephyrhills, Florida, where she was cherished by her family and friends.

Brenda dedicated her career to the safety and security of others, serving as a tower guard and correctional officer for St. John County. Her commitment to her work was admired by many, and she carried out her duties with dedication and integrity.

Beyond her professional life, Brenda was a woman of warmth and love, with a deep-seated passion for plants and flowers. Her home was a sanctuary filled with blooms, where she found peace and joy. She held family close to her heart, always treasuring the moments spent with her loved ones.

Brenda is lovingly survived by her siblings, Barbara Ann Thompson and Cathy Junk. She leaves behind her children and their spouses: Travis Coleman Reece, Glenn Edward Reece and Roxanne Reece, and Rhonda Joyce Haveman and Victor Lee Haveman.

Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Travis Justin Reece, Victor Lee Haveman Jr., and Glenn Edward Reece Jr. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Travis Harrison and Zeldia Gault Harrison, who she now joins in eternal rest.

A service to honor Brenda's life was held on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024, at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City.

Brenda will be dearly missed by all, but her spirit will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in peace.
