Brenda Karen Perry (King), 76, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 12, 2025. Brenda, a caring Mom, Nanna, Wife, and sister, was a devoted follower of the Lord.

Brenda appreciated life's simple beauty. She found joy in sitting by the ocean, listening to the waves crash into the shore. Some of her happiest childhood memories were spent at Watts Bar Lake with her family, a place that remained her favorite throughout her life.

Born in 1949, Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late Vernon and Betsy Perry. Her greatest joy and unending pride was her family. After her children were grown, Brenda embarked on a career in retail, spending the last 25 years at Walmart. Upon retiring, she moved to Zephyrhills, FL, where she enjoyed the beach, playing cards, and sitting by the pool.

Brenda was married to LeRoy King of Zephyrhills, FL. Even though her physical loss is deeply felt, her family celebrates the joy and happiness she is experiencing in Heaven.

She is survived by her husband, Roy King; her four children and their spouses, Shara Derrick of Benton, Michael (Dana) Moses of Cleveland, Mitchell (Tina) Moses of Cleveland, and Melissa (Scott) Stewart of Etowah. She is also survived by her brothers, Donny (Dianna) of Gallatin and Ronny of Athens. Brenda leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at New Zion Baptist Church, 393 Co Rd 616, Athens, TN 37303, on Saturday, September 27, at 11 a.m.. Her pastor in Florida, David Reece, will officiate the service. Honorary pallbearers are TJ Hembree, Derrick Hembree, Jonathon Moses, Will Stewart, and Henry Moses.
