Bonnie Darlyne McBride was a lovely lady who warmed the hearts of many. May we smile each time we remember Bonnie, her cheerful spirit, and her fighting spunk. Bonnie lives on in heaven with her Heavenly Father and husband Tommy McBride who she met at the Publix deli, fell in love with, and was happily married to for many years. She was also proceeded in death by her father and mother, John and Leona Berry, her brothers James and Charles Berry, and her stepson Michael. Bonnie, age 71, passed on December 26th surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born on July 29, 1950, in Tarpon Springs, FL to John and Leona Berry. She is survived by her 3 children Cory Nagel, Carmon Nagel, and Michelle Baker, as well as Barbara Berry her favorite (and only) Sister-in-law, and the joy of her heart, her 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Bonnie was a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Bonnie enjoyed collecting thimbles and spoons. Most of all, she loved collecting stuffed animals to give her great-grandkids. Bonnies favorite color was purple, she loved the smell of gardenias, butterflies, sunsets, bible trivia, as well as spending time with family and her best friend Gayle. In her free time, she enjoyed watching football, baseball, and Netflix. Bonnie also enjoyed bingo and crafts. She was very talented at many crafts including knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, sewing, diamond dots, and more. Bonnie loved life despite all she was going through. She was a fighter often surprising the doctors with a bounce-back of health and telling doctors "you dont know my God." She knew that her fight was great and her God even greater! Bonnie will be greatly missed. She had a way of leaving a smile on the hearts of those she met. Services for Bonnie will be Thursday, December 30th at Hodges Funeral Home in Dade City. Visitation will be from 9-11 am with a service immediately following.
