Obituary

Billy Dale Parker was born in Yellville Arkansas the youngest child of 3 to Ivon and Richard Parker on December 4, 1928. He married Norma Lou Mears on December 15, 1950 also of Yellville. He received his B.A. from the University of Arkansas. Bill served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Bill was employed by a cement pipe manufacturer and was transferred throughout the United States and Canada. While living in upstate New York Bill was active in the United Methodist Church and was President of the Volunteer Fire Department in Kinderhook. Bill was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughters Janet Parker and Jeana Houghton, as well as his son-in-law Patrick Houghton and his grandchildren Andrea and Connor Houghton all of Casselberry, FL. Survivors also include his sisters Hazel Miller of Yakima Washington, Hortense Sullivan of Springfield Missouri and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Parker passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Brooksville Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, FL on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. The burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
