It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill M. Surratt, Jr., who entered his eternal home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Dade City, Florida at the age of 83. Born on July 15, 1941, in Tampa, Florida, he spent his life making a lasting impact on the lives of those around him.

Bill was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and businessman who spent 60+ years in the Trucking industry. He was known for his honesty and work ethic, dedication to his family and friends, and his love for machinery.

In 1965, Bill married Gail Lindsay, and together they built a family, and a home filled with love. Their union was blessed with two children, David and Susan. He was delighted to see his family grow to include David's wife, Sonya, and their four sons, Dawson, Spencer, Landon and Caden Surratt, and Susan's husband, Alan, and their two children Joshua and Lauren Jenkins. He is survived by his siblings Sam, Ted, Lewis, Dolly, Mitzie, Kenny, Cissie, Bobby, Terry, Terrell, Mark, Marci, and Keith, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Wyline Surratt.

A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Discover Fellowship Church (formerly First Baptist Church, Dade City) beginning with visitation at 10 am. Services will start at 11 am followed by internment at Chapel Hill Gardens. He would have appreciated his life being honored by providing donations to Breakaway Ministries in Gadsden, Alabama, the Vision 24 Building Fund (Discover Fellowship Church), and to Hernando Pasco Hospice. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will be a comfort to all of us who knew him.
