Beulah Smurr 93, Tampa, FL

Beulah J. Smurr, age 93 of Tampa, FL and formerly of Defiance, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018;

Beulah was born March 26, 1925 in Putnam County Ohio to Edwin Hoffman and Eva Hoover Hoffman;

Beulah married Roger Smurr in 1949;

She was a charter member of First Church of Christ in Defiance, OH. Beulah was a 1943 Graduate of Defiance High School and a 1947 graduate of Defiance College, later becoming a teacher in the Defiance School System;

Beulah is survived by one-son, Bradley Smurr and wife Stephanie Smurr of Wesley Chapel, FL., granddaughter Laura (Smurr) Owczarek and husband Paul Owczarek of Tampa, FL and 2 great-grandchildren, Magdalena Owczarek and Charlotte Owczarek of Tampa, FL. Preceding her in death were two sons, Roger and Randall Smurr, spouse, Roger Smurr, two sisters Mary McDonald and Lois Engel and brother, Paul Hoffman.

Beulah, known as "Mom," "Gramma," "Aunt," and dear friend to many, left an impression on everyone who knew her, and will be missed by all. She was a caregiver to her parents, son Randall, and husband. Her two great-granddaughters were her joy and daily inspiration. Memories of her unfailing love, constant faith in God, and many stories will be cherished.
