Betty Lou Jones passed away on December 10, 2019. Betty was born in Decatur, GA, on April 19, 1936, to Marvin Henry Dean and Lummie Lou Griffin Dean. She married the love of her life Harold Edgar Jones on Dec 12, 1953. Harold and Betty had 6 children Harold Lynn Jones, Linda Susan Stanley, James Donald Jones, Derenda Jones Sislak (Mark Sislak), Stephen Paul Jones (preceded in death) and Michael Paul Jones. Betty had 7 Grandchildren LeighAnn Jones, Erin Michelle Jones (Justin), Melissa Danielle Jones, Don Jones (Brittney), Amy Renee Jones Savannah Lauren Sislak (Caden Harold Sislak) and Jana Marie Sislak And lots of Great Grandchildren!

Betty drove a school bus for Hillsborough County for many years. She developed life long friends during this time. She was respected and Loved by her peers.

Betty was an incredible Mother to her children, a loving Wife to her husband a doting grandmother and a friend that was always there! We will miss you forever!

There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, December 17, from 1-3 pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel Dade City, FL. Burial will take place a later date a Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell FL.
