It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Rae Cox, a beloved resident of Zephyrhills, Florida. Betty passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20th, 2024, at the age of 72.

Born on Monday, September 15th, 1952, in the quaint town of Middleport, Ohio to parents, Raymond and Pauline Russell, Betty lived a life rich in love, service, and entrepreneurship. She was a proud business owner, dedicating her career to building and nurturing her company with the same care and dedication she showed to her family and friends.

Betty also served her country with honor as a member of the United States Army. Betty was married to the love of her life, William F. Cox.

Family, friends, and those whose lives Betty touched are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Hodges Family Funeral Home, located at 301, on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, at 1:30 pm on the same day.
