BROWN, Betty Ann 84 of Dade City died on Tuesday, Sept 19, 2017. Betty was born in Winter Haven, FL to Daniel & Ethyl (Wetherington) Sherman. She moved to the Dade City area in 1960 with her family and dedicated many years to being a devoted housewife and mother. Betty stayed active with helping her husband Joby on the ranch, raising her five children and in her spare time she was a teachers assistance for over 30 years with the Pasco County school system. She enjoyed gardening & cooking, and was an avid supporter of Pasco High School sports programs, especially baseball, where she thoroughly enjoyed watching her grandsons play ball. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ronald "Joby" Brown in 1995 and is survived by her children Felecia Penney of Crestview, FL, Donna (Bruce) Delong of Dade City, FL, Patricia (Mel) Stancil of Dade City, FL, Robert (Susan) Brown of Dunnellon, FL, Kenneth Brown, Jr. of Dade City, FL. Brother Dan (Carol) Sherman of Mulberry, FL. Grandchildren: Beth Penney, Jennifer Whorton, Brad Delong, Kenney Brown, Tim Penney, Austin Brown, Cole Stancil and Lane Stancil, and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown will be laid to rest with her husband at Floral Memory Gardens at a later date. Remembrance Gathering
