Betty Boyd, 90, of Dade City, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born September 19, 1931, in Leesburg, Florida to Alene and Grover Smith.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Dade City and was passionate about her community. She spent many hours volunteering her time with Dade City Mainstreet and the Chamber of Commerce. She retired from Dade City Hospital in 1999 where she served as the Director of Volunteer Services. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and was best known for her radiant smile and sweet disposition.

She is survived by her daughters; Libby Veslock (Paul), Donnis Mills (Donnie), and Rita Wilcher; Grandchildren, Dina Erickson (Marc), Dale Mills (Angela), Daniel Mills (Tricia), Beth Morgan (Kevin), Kevin Wilcher and Amanda Wilcher; 15 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren; Brothers, Kenneth Smith, Richard Smith, Lamar Smith and GC Smith. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Donnie, sons-in-law David Wilcher and Bobby Faulk, sisters; Loyce Braxton and Margaret Johnson Kilpatrick.

A memorial service will be held on January 11, 2022, at 11:00 am at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 US 301, Dade City.
