Berice Alice Collins of Dade City, FL passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at the age of 79 where she was surrounded by family. Bernice was born on August 14, 1946 in Savannah Georgia to Pauline Taylor Sharpe in Chatham County.

Residing in Dade City FL for most of her life, she is best remembered as a resilient woman that worked hard and never gave up. Although she seemed tough on the outside, she had a huge and kind heart, always willing to give whatever she had. If she didn't have it, she would find a way to get it for you. Her home and family were her priorities; she sacrificed many things for the best interest of the family.

Before and after retirement, Bernice spent her free time working on her property, making her famous jalapeno pepper jelly, crafting/painting/sewing. She would splurge from time to time and head down to the casino as she loved her slot machines. If she wasn't doing any of those things, you knew you could find her sitting in her favorite chair on her back porch with a cup of coffee and a cigarette. She was loved deeply and will be missed dearly.

Survived by her children Jeff, Margo, Shiloh and Skyler; brother Ted; grandchildren Brandy, Tyler, Josh, Maggie, Ashley and Katy; grandchildren Tatum, Rylan, Tristen, Elisah, Larson, Sierra, Avery, Eli and Minni.

Preceded in death by her late husband Jessie "JJ" Collins, mother Pauline Taylor Sharpe, sister Marsha, brother Ray and sons Gerald and Mark Collins.

Services will be held at Hodges Funeral Home in Dade City

Visitation/Viewing will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 from 5p-7p

The Service will be Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 10am with gravesite burial at 11am.

A Celebration of life will be held at Bernice's home afterward for family and close friends.
