KANT, Bernadette Ann, 98, of Ridge Manor, FL, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 15, 2022, in Dade City, FL, while receiving care at AdventHealth Dade City Hospital. Bernadette was born on July 7, 1924, in East Rockaway, New York to Louis and Agnes (Reilly) Hyman. She married John J. Kant Jr. on October 20, 1945, in Jersey City, New Jersey. Bernadette attended Adelphia University and was a Registered Nurse. Before settling in Florida, she was a resident of Basking Ridge, NJ for 25 years. Bernadette enjoyed the outdoors, and actively played golf until her early 90s. She is survived by he children, John of Lutz, Florida, Robert (Fran) of Bedford, NH, Douglas (Karen) of Snellville, Ga, Michael of Washington, Utah, Dennis (Patricia) of Rochester, NY and Karen of Lutz, Florida. She has 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and her sister, Jacqueline of Arlington, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 2009, and her brother, Lloyd and sisters, Arlene and Phyllis. Services are entrusted to the care of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, FL. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2022 at Hodges Family Funeral Home Dade City, from 5-7pm, followed by a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at St. Annes Catholic Church in Dade City at 10am, with a committal service at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL, at 11:30am.
