BENJAMIN BOYD SURRATT-12/22/93-10/30/23 Benjamin Boyd Surratt, 29, gained his angel wings at his mothers home in Dade City Florida, 10/30/23. Ben is survived by his mother, Karen Stover Surratt, father, Bobby D Surratt, (Sue), paternal grandmother, Celia Lutz, daughter, Alexis Nicole Scott (Jayda M Scott-mother), Sister, Kacey D Surratt, (Wesley Floyd), Brother, Justin R Whitman (Trista Baker), Nephews, Jordan Whitman & Korbin Floyd, Niece, Alyssa Whitman. Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Boyd Stover, and maternal grandmother, Frances Bignotti Stover, and paternal grandfather, Calvin Lutz. Benjamin left behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends. Those who knew Ben knew what a gentle soul and kind-hearted person he was. He loved his family, dearly, throughout his life struggles and still found ways to help others, in need, before helping himself. Ben loved and enjoyed, as a child and young teenager, the outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing baseball in the city leagues, and spending time with his family. Ben will truly be missed and will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace our son, brother, dad, nephew, grandson, and friend. Gone but never forgotten. Bens favorite saying due to his struggles was: "Life isnt about waiting for the storm to pass, Its about learning to dance in the rain", and indeed, this is what he was so close to accomplishing.
